In September 2010, we went to Philadelphia to watch Heather run in a half-marathon race. She did great and actually finished the race!
We got to eat at a couple of really neat restaurants, and one of them was the "City Tavern", one of the oldest restaurants in town, dating back to the 1700's.

Heather, Andrew and I visited the oldest penitentiary and one of the founders of that penitentiary was one of my ancestors, Benjamin Rush! (pictured here)
We had a great time, and I would love to go back and visit again. There is so much to see!

Amber and Courtney came up for a visit during Courtney's spring break (2010) and they enjoyed fishing (although they didn't catch anything).

In February 2010, we went to visit Heather and Andrew in State College, Pa. The far picture to the left shows Heather holding their beagle, Sherlock, and Andrew is holding th walker hound Sawyer.
The next picture shows Trixie checking out their backyard full of snow.
Another picture of their backyard and below is Heather in her lab working on an experiment.

I know it has been a while since I last updated our blog. We've been very busy.
We are enjoying living on the lake, though in the picture with the snow, the lake is very muddy looking. Yuck.
The puppy Howard is holding is our new addition, Trixie, a little female blue dapple Dachsund--about 7 weeks old in the picture. Born Nov. 7, 2009.
She's a doll--loves to cuddle.
And, lastly, Howard in front of the fireplace showing the great fire he built - it is very cold outside--we had 2 inches of snow last night and will probably get some more tonight.
We are learning our way around Albemarle and finding new places to eat and other movie theaters to try out. We have one locally, but sometimes they don't get the movie we want to see fast enough, so we'll go to Concord.
Well, my hands are getting cold, I need to go warm them by the fire. Everyone stay warm and dry.
Until next time, remember God loves you.
